MEET THE FUTURE
Hand-crafted. High-quality. Sustainably-sourced.
OUR PURPOSE
Quality Kilned Urban Forest Lumber Products
IWOOD specializes in crafting high-quality wood products while empowering Indigenous youth. Through mentorship and skill development, we help transform their passion for woodworking and forestry into successful businesses. By blending tradition, sustainability, and craftsmanship, we create unique, handcrafted pieces that tell a story of culture and resilience
OUR PROCESS
Urban forestry is a sustainable practice that involves reclaiming trees from urban environments that have been felled due to disease, decline, or development. Rather than discarding these trees or sending them to landfills, they are carefully salvaged and repurposed for various uses. This approach is highly sustainable, preventing waste and reducing the demand for traditionally harvested timber, while also promoting more responsible forestry and resource management.
OUR PRODUCTS
Our products are custom-designed with beauty and craftsmanship for your space. They are handcrafted forests to bring nature from sustainably harvested trees on Treaty One Territory.
Salvaged urban trees can be used for a variety of products, including:
Kiln-dried
dimensional lumber
Standard wood planks for construction and furniture making.
Finished
live-edge slabs
Unique wood pieces with a natural, unshaped edge, often used for furniture or decorative items.
Other Products
Depending on the type of trees
